Club Vision and Overview
Our vision is for Sutton United Football Club to be the focus for inclusive, safe, top quality and successful football development in the local community and to increase participation and improvement in the sport at all levels and thereby encourage good health, wellbeing and citizenship.
The club was awarded its 'Football Association Development Community Charter Standard Status' at its final league fixture of season 2009/10, and confirmation of its full Community Charter Standard Status' on 7th February 2011. For an explanation of what this means Click Here to see the FA's Charter Standard Overview. From the clubs perspective this extremely ambitious project will see the integration of the club’s already successful Colts’ set-up, youth teams and first team football with Women’s and Disabled football for all age groups.

In addition to this with the support of our local ward councillors and key members of the Friends of Collingwood Rec, our objective is to make Sutton United the fulcrum of leisure provision in the local area. A key part of this is the redevelopment of the Collingwood Recreation Ground to reintroduce new football pitches back into the park, and provide the best sports facilities in the area. This proposal will form part of the London Borough of Sutton’s Site Development Strategy BY early 2011, having already passed initial stages of approval.
The Football Development plan (FDP) is a 5yr objective and forms part of Sutton United's wider commitment to its local community.
