Some greatly improved weather greeted Saturday’s presentations to the next three inductees into our Hall Of Fame.
Herbert Pratt, more widely known as "Tipper", was one of the club’s first all-time greats as a player. Although his career was interrupted by the war, Tipper played from the 1930s through to the late 1940s, making over 330 appearances and scoring 136 goals. He was a member of the club’s Athenian League title side in 1946 and went on to play a significant role in getting the main grandstand constructed a few years later.

Lennie Dennis was an all-action centre forward during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history. The scorer of 142 goals in 261 appearances, Lennie’s goals helped the U’s to the Isthmian League title in 1986 and then establish themselves in the Vauxhall Conference. He was a member of the team that beat Coventry City in 1989 and gained full international honours with Jamaica whilst with the club.

Bruce Elliott needs little introduction. A supporter for more than sixty years Bruce has volunteered on the Supporters’ Club committee, when he introduced and ran the original club shop, as a director and, of course, as Chairman of the Club since 1996. He is also President of the Club.
