There is football for two of our teams tonight as our academy side aims for a place in the FA Youth Cup competition proper, while our women’s team has a rare midweek game in the London & South East Regional League.

The academy team’s third qualifying round tie is away to Stansfeld, whose first team plays in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division, and who won 4-0 at Hastings in the previous round while U’s were coming from behind to win 3-1 at Walton & Hersham. The game is at Phoenix Sports FC in Bexleyheath, kick off 7.45pm (full venue details here), and we will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering a first defeat of the season against Bromley in the EFL Youth Alliance League Cup on Saturday.

Meanwhile our women’s side, who suffered a first defeat in five regulation games on Sunday at home to Millwall, will be looking to become the first side to take points off Fulham this evening at Fulham’s Motspur Park’s training ground. The hosts have won four games out of four so far this season and on Sunday beat Maidenhead on penalties in the Women’s FA Cup. Kick off at Motspur Park is at 7.45pm.
