After being beaten by the same team on Tuesday, U’s needed a win to keep alive hopes of a top three finish in the EFL Youth Alliance South East Division and started in fine fashion as Junior Eccleston headed home from a corner. However two defensive lapses allowed Stevenage to go in front, and despite U’s dominating the second half Stevenage held that lead until a minute from time when Moore sent a 25 yard effort in to the top corner to gain a draw that Under 18s manager Ross White said afterwards felt like a win.

The result means that we will finish in 4th place in the division and so be in Merit League 1 when the league splits in March. However there is one more South East Division game which is on Tuesday against bottom of the table MK Dons, who have conceded sixteen goals in their last two games. The game is at the VBS Community Stadium, kick off 12 noon, and admission is free so why not come along and support this excellent young side.
