The game was decided in the first half as Jaz Backhurst scored twice, including another effort direct from a free kick, and Olivia Watson and Darcy Wells also found the net to see U’s go in 4-0 up at half time. The second half remained goalless until near the end, when Wells turned in a shot from Abbie Measures for her second goal of the game to round off a fine victory. Supporters have a chance to watch the women’s team at the VBS next Sunday when Enfield Town are the visitors, kick off 2pm with free admission and U’s having the chance to go above the North London opposition with a victory.

Our reserve team moved up to second place in the South East Counties League Surrey Premier Division with a 3-0 win at home to Croydon CWFC, who were level on points with U’s going in to the game but had a better goal difference, while also in Collingwood Recreation Ground the development team were not so fortunate, going down 3-1 against Old Tiffinians.
