Despite the result, Chairman Bruce Elliott was still in a positive mood after yesterday’s game. "I am disappointed with the result, obviously, but I thought we played very well in the first half and if we can continue like that we will see a lot of exciting matches. The big plus point for me was the crowd, to go comfortably into four figures was very encouraging especially as we know a lot of people are on holiday this time of year. The other success of the day was to sell our one thousandth season ticket. When Adrian announced that this was his target I have to admit that I thought he was being a bit ambitious but he has been ceaseless in his efforts to push this scheme and supported by others, but by Tony Dunmore and Jenny Graham in particular, he has well and truly delivered. I do want to emphasise what an achievement this is. I know it is on the back of a fantastic season and our great value early-bird prices but two years ago we only sold 125 season-tickets, so that is a 700% increase. Our season-tickets continue to represent excellent value, so I hope the number can still creep even higher."
