It has been a good few days for the club’s community programme; after being named Community Club Of The Year at last week’s National Game awards the senior pan-disability team stormed to success on Sunday.
Sutton United Community Team ‘A’ were crowned champions of the "Surrey FA Football For All Championship" on Sunday to win promotion to the Surrey FA Premiership and join the elite disability football scene. The U’s have led the league table from day one and finished with an impressive record : P39 W30 D8 L1 (Pts 98). Woking finished as runners up.
Manger Steve King was ecstatic: "We would like to thank the Surrey FA for organising such amazing leagues and all the inspirational teams we have played this season, we have made so many good friends on our journey. We are very much looking forward to the next challenge, the Surrey FA Premiership for season 2017/18."
Ryan Ford was part of the Sutton United defence that conceded
just 3 goals all season.
