The Cheam and Belmont Football Week for 6-11 year old boys and girls, in partnership with Sutton United FC and Met Police Cheam SNT, took place between 3rd and 9th August 2015 at Cheam Park.

This year’s event attracted so much interest that the numbers were increased to 50 per day, leading to a record 250 attending during the week.

The children were visited by Sutton United players Wayne Shaw and Jamie Collins,and coached all week by Sutton United coaches Steve Preedy and Paul Leconte. At the end of each day the children were each awarded a medal, a sports water bottle and a sports bag all kindly sponsored by local businesses Smith and Byford,The Star of India, Samsara, Fawngrove Garage and Hyundai Belmont.

Steve King of the Sutton United community team said: "This was another great opportunity to work in partnership with our friends from the Met Police and to receive so many thank yous from the children and parents really made all the hard work so worthwhile".
