On Saturday the Sutton United Community teams welcomed our good friends Arsenal to the Knights Community Stadium for what turned out be another memorable day. Kicking off at 12pm, there were two friendly games.

Sutton United U’s 4 ( Mills,Campbell,Ford R Keenan,) Arsenal 1

Sutton United Hunters 1 ( Hayward) Arsenal 2.

Both games were played with great respect and were close encounters.

The U’s took their chances despite  Arsenal being on top for periods of the game without being able to take theirs.

The Hunters game was a closer scoreline with Arsenal taking a 2-0 lead before the Hunters fought back well and had a couple of good chances to equalise towards the end of the game .

Head Of Disability Football Steve King said " It’s a real occasion when Arsenal visit and it’s particularly pleasing to see our friendship get stronger on and off the field.  I would to thank them as we also received an invitation from Arsenal to watch the League Cup tie against  Brentford on Wednesday night  and the players really enjoyed it " (Below – the squad outside the Emirates on Wednesday)
