We enjoyed considerable success last season. The Sutton United Community Team A won promotion to the elite Surrey FA Football For All League and finished as runners-up in George Best Community Cup in Belfast, and the Sutton U’s also had an outstanding season.  We also saw the Community Teams’ section add a third team, the Sutton United Hunters, so the season of 2016/17 will be one to remember.

All 3threeteams have been in training in preparation for the new season.  The Surrey FA FFA League season starts this Sunday, the 24th, and will see Sutton United A play in the Elite Premiership 1 but the Sutton U’s division has yet to be decided, they will be in either the Premiership 2 or the Championship.  The new Sutton United Hunters team will play in the AFC Wimbledon /Tooting & Mitcham Pan Disability League.

The Community Teams have added six new players, with two players bringing international experience; Paul Young an ex-England Pan Disability player and Matt Nesta a Team GB Gold Medalist in Disability Football.  With these new players now added we have 36 players in our Pan Disability Section.  We are still getting applications from new players but, regrettably, we are unable to cope with any extra numbers at this time.
