Sutton United will host Manchester United’s Academy in the National League Cup Quarter-Final.

The U’s secured their place in the next stage of the competition with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest at the start of February, seeing Steve Morison’s side jump up to second in Group D after the possible opportunity.

They had previously overcome Tottenham Hotspur with a comprehensive 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Lewis Simper, trialist Shaun Williams and Harry Ransom, before losing to West Ham United midway through December. A crucial extra point was sealed however after a 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion, with former loanee George Evans playing a key role in the resulting shootout that saw the U’s come out on top and secure the decisive additional point.

The date and kick-off time will be announced in due course, with ticket information to follow.
