The U’s final pre-season friendly of the summer comes against a Chelsea U23 side. After a busy pre-season for Matt Gray’s squad, finishing off with 4 games over 7 days.

A great test for the U’s coming up against a young and talented team of Premier League Academy players, the sides also met last summer. Ending 0-2 with two goals from Charlie Brown giving victory to a Chelsea side whose goalkeeper, Karlo Ziger, went on to make an impressive appearance for Sutton in the FA Trophy at Spennymoor. Once again we are grateful to Chelsea for agreeing to the fixture.
