The road to Wembley takes precedence over league action tomorrow when Dagenham & Redbridge visit Gander Green Lane for the second time this season and for the second consecutive year in the FA Trophy. Earlier this season the teams drew 1-1 at Sutton, Omar Bugiel’s goal cancelled out by Paul McCallum, while last season it was also 1-1 at Sutton, Bugiel again on target after Joe Quigley had scored for Dagenham. In the replay at Dagenham U’s led 2-1 in extra time before going down 3-2 as Joao Luque inspired a Dagenham comeback, scoring his second goal of the night then creating the winner for Mitch Brundle.
If it’s 1-1 after 90 minutes tomorrow there won’t be a replay, or even extra time, but the game will go straight to a penalty shoot out.
Dagenham came out of an isolation period earlier this week, and have lost the services of Abu Ogogo, who returned to Bristol Rovers after a loan spell, while Sutton hope to welcome Louis John back from injury and will have Ben Margetson in the squad after his loan signing from Cardiff City.
Passes for the live stream can be obtained here, price £9.50, and season ticket holders must buy a pass tomorrow as season tickets are not valid for cup ties. Due to FA regulations, the live stream is available within the UK only. There will be a Mixlr audio commentary on the game and a match programme will be available in the morning, containing an interview with Matt Gray from earlier today, and all the usual features.
