After careful consideration we have decided not to appeal against the FA decision to remove us from the FA Youth Cup for fielding an ineligible player in the 2-1 win at Clevedon last week. The charge related to an international clearance issue, and while we feel that the  punishment is unduly harsh, given that the player concerned had played  in the EFL Youth  Alliance and Wiltshire  Senior Cup last season, and we have great sympathy for our Under-18 side, who by their excellent  performances in the competition had earned the chance to play against Manchester City, the  reasons for the decision as given to us by the FA gave us no cause to feel that an appeal would be successful.
