Horley play in the Combined Counties League and are currently in 15th place, three places above Epsom & Ewell, who U’s beat in the previous round. Horley reached this stage with an away win against another Combined Counties League side Guildford City.

Sutton achieved that 2-1 win against Epsom in the last round with a team formed almost entirely of the academy squad, and a similar line-up is expected on Tuesday with the possible addition of a couple of first team squad players if manager Steve Morison feels they need a game. The academy side’s game at Plymouth on Saturday was postponed due to the weather.

Sutton and Horley met in the same competition in November 2019, U’s winning 3-0 at the VBS with goals from Wayne Brown, Aaron Jarvis and Tommy Wright.
