Following Paul Doswell’s resignation last week, and the last game of the season at Dover on Saturday, assistant manager Ian Baird has also left the club after four and a half years as Paul’s assistant. Chairman Bruce Elliott said: ”Ian has been an integral part of the club’s achievements during his time here, and we are very grateful for everything that he has contributed, including his spell as caretaker manager over the last six weeks of this season. We wish him every success in the future.”

Ian commented: ”I’d like to thank everyone at the club for their support over four and a half fantastic seasons, where we managed to achieve what we wanted to achieve and better. I’ve said before that it’s a unique club, and in the 39 years I’ve been involved in football I haven’t worked anywhere better. However everything comes to an end, and I think Dos has earned the right to do what is best for him. We’re a partnership, I came with him and I think it’s only right that I leave with him as well. I sincerely wish everyone at the club well in the future.”
