We can confirm that Jack Taylor has joined Hampton & Richmond Borough on a loan deal until the end of December.
The 19-year-old defender will continue his development with the National League South side, plying his trade under former U’s goalkeeper Alan Julian, who made 13 league and cup appearances during his time at Gander Green Lane in the 2014/15 campaign.
Jack came through the club’s academy, making his senior debut in November 2022 in the Surrey Senior Cup at Merstham, scoring in a 3-0 win. Last season he impressed out on loan at Burgess Hill and Hornchurch before signing his first professional deal with Sutton at the end of February and making his EFL debut at Tranmere at the beginning of March.
Jack has subsequently featured frequently during Steve Morison’s first pre-season with the U’s, and will now gain valuable experience for a side who last season pushed for a play-off place in the sixth tier, with the Beavers finishing just a point outside the top seven.
All the best, Jack!
