We can confirm the departure of Jack Wadham on a loan deal until January, with a return to National League South club Worthing.

The midfielder joined the U’s in the summer from AFC Bournemouth, appearing three times under Steve Morison including a start against Eastleigh.

The move sees the 21-year-old return to the South Coast, having spent time already at Worthing during the 2023/24 campaign. He had appeared 17 times in the National League South whilst on loan at the Rebels and helped them reach the play-offs, with Wadham playing every minute in both the semi-final victory over Maidstone United as well as the final defeat against Braintree Town.

Worthing currently sit 12th in the National League South after eight games.

Best of luck, Jack!

We can also confirm the departure of Junior Eccleston to Walton & Hersham on loan.

A U’s academy product, Eccleston made his senior debut for the club last month against Ebbsfleet United, and will now continue his development away from Gander Green Lane with a temporary switch to the Swans.

The Surrey-based outfit currently sit fourth in the Southern League Premier Division South.

All the best, Junior!
