Striker Matt Rush has been recalled from his loan at Maidstone United and has joined Boreham Wood on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee. Matt joined us from Maidstone in the summer and made nine league and cup appearances while at the VBS, scoring the first goal in the FA Cup win at Chertsey in October.
He returned to Maidstone on loan at the end of November and scored three goals in six games as Maidstone maintained their push for promotion from National League South, going in to the New Year’s Day programme in third place, but will now join Boreham Wood’s quest for an immediate return to the National League, as they sit in second place, a point ahead of Maidstone and one point behind leaders Torquay.
We wish Matt every success at Boreham Wood and in his future career.
