As we approach the end of of what has been a long and at times difficult year for all of us, as society continues to battle against Covid and its consequences and football has not found itself immune from those impacts, we look back on what has probably been the most successful year in our club’s long and varied history.

We started the year playing behind closed doors and were grateful for the efforts of our magnificent SUFCtv team to be able to follow the action as our wonderful team defied the odds to clinch the National League title and be promoted into the Football League.  We were so grateful that at least we could welcome fans into the stadium for the decisive game against Hartlepool.

A very busy summer then led into our leap into the unknown but our players and management team responded brilliantly and we deservedly find ourselves in 3rd place in League Two at Christmas.  It has certainly been a year to remember.

We hope that everyone stays well and the Board of Directors, team and staff and, of course, our manager Matt Gray, would like to thank all of our amazing fans for their support and wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
