Manager Matt Gray has said that in view of the current injury situation our Academy side will be taking the fixture, and admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. The ground is in Weldon Way, RH1 3QB, and there is side street parking available.

It is the fourth time the teams have been drawn against each other in the Surrey Senior Cup, with Merstham victorious on the last two occasions, both by a 2-1 scoreline, at Merstham in January 2015 and then at Sutton three years later. In both seasons Merstham went on to reach the final, the first and last of four consecutive appearances in the final, winning two and losing two – the most recent appearance in 2018 saw them beat Leatherhead in the final at Sutton.

The first meeting between the sides was in February 1981, when Merstham held U’s to a 1-1 draw at Sutton but U’s ran riot in a rain-drenched replay  at Weldon Way, running out 9-3 winners.

Merstham are currently sitting bottom of the Isthmian South Central Division having been relegated from the Premier Division at the end of last season, and are still looking for their first league win of the season.

If the scores are level after ninety minutes the game will be decided on penalties.
