Manager Matt Gray has completed his pre-season recruitment with the signing of Rob Milsom. The 32-year-old, who is originally from Redhill, has been trialling with Sutton during the friendlies, and has now joined on a permanent basis. Matt said: "We’ve had to be patient with this signing, but Rob and I are delighted that everything has now been sorted out and he is able to join our squad officially. He’s done very well at left back during pre-season, but he can also play in midfield and, as we saw against Chelsea, he has excellent delivery in dead ball situations. He’s got plenty of experience, all of it at League Two level and above, which will be very important to us and he’s a great addition to the squad."
Rob began his career with Fulham and, after loan spells with Brentford, Southend and Finnish club TPS, he moved to Aberdeen where he made over 50 appearances in the Scottish Premier League, and has subsequently played for Rotherham, Crawley and Notts County, where he made nearly 100 appearances in two spells before being released in the summer.
Rob will wear number 24, the same number he wore last season with Notts County.
