It seems the Gallagher brothers have finally resolved their differences, with Oasis reuniting for a tour next year that is surely set to change popular music after 15 years without the renowned Britpop band.

Sutton United are also back at home this weekend with the visit of Forest Green Rovers, and will look to continue their unbeaten run this season in front of the DAZN cameras – the first time the U’s play live in front of the cameras since 2021.

Steve Morison’s men kicked off the campaign with a trip to newly promoted Tamworth, where Josh Coley’s first goal of the season rescued a point in stoppage time after Nathan Tshikuna shocked the former League Two side with just six minutes to go.

They followed this up with a comprehensive win that showed Sutton meant business this season, as goals from Coley, Jayden Harris, Will Davies, Siju Odelusi and Ashley Nadesan sealed a 5-0 romp over Altrincham in the U’s first home game of the season.

A stunning finish from MK Dons loanee Charlie Waller secured a second victory on the bounce against Wealdstone, and the young defender continued his fine form with a Man of the Match display against York City, a match which would end 2-2 for the third meeting in a row, when Davies cancelled out Marvin Armstrong’s opener at the start of the second half, before Lenell John-Lewis rescued a point for the Minstermen after Coley thought he had won it for the U’s with his third goal of the season.

The U’s followed this up with a trip to an Eastleigh side who had a 100% record in the Vanarama National League after Chris Maguire’s late penalty had sealed four wins out of four for the Spitfires. Sutton turned up looking to bring this to an end though, with Eduino Vaz opening the scoring with a screamer from distance which would be cancelled out by Paul McCallum on his return from injury. The U’s kept pushing though, and while they thought they had won it at the death when an excellent display from home goalkeeper Joe McDonnell kept Sutton at bay from three successive corners, they still did enough to bring the hosts’ winning run to an end, while continuing their own unbeaten streak with another point.

Sutton now face Forest Green Rovers this Saturday, with the DAZN cameras coming to the VBS Community Stadium for the first time since the Vanarama National League announced the British streaming platform would become the global broadcaster for the division.

Tickets are available to purchase here, with matches against newly promoted Boston United as well as Ebbsfleet United also on sale.
