Sutton United Football Club is delighted to confirm that we have triggered an extension clause that will see Eduino Vaz remain at the club for an additional year.
The Guinea Bissauan has had to bide his time on occasions alongside former loanee Charlie Waller and Besart Topallaj, but has largely proven himself as a vital member of the squad and has made 16 appearances in all competitions.
He scored his first goal for the club with a scorcher against Eastleigh back in August and added his second when he finished a well-worked team move against Rochdale two months later.
A popular member of the dressing room, Vaz initially joined the club last summer from National League South club Aveley, and has impressed during his first eight months at the VBS Community Stadium where he has appeared primarily on the left flank, as well as briefly filling in in midfield with a couple of impressive performances against Braintree Town and Rochdale.
Congratulations, Eduino!
