Sutton United Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Junior Robinson on loan until the end of the season.

The young winger joins from West Ham United and embarks on his first stint out on loan, where he is set to experience regular senior football for the first time in his career at a familiar place. Robinson has already impressed at the VBS Community Stadium, doing so against the U’s in the National League Cup back in December, where he scored the second goal in a 2-0 win for the Hammers.

Hailing from Bethnal Green, Robinson joined the Academy of Football as a six-year-old after being spotted playing for Sunday League team Senrab FC in Forest Gate – a stone’s throw away from London Stadium – and rose through the ranks at a place he has called home for nearly 14 years.

In the summer of 2022, following a season that saw Robinson make 28 outings for the U18s and earn two appearances in the Premier League Cup for the U23s, the wing-back signed professional terms with the Hammers, before enjoying a an impressive 2023/24 campaign in the U21s that later saw the 19-year-old put pen to paper on a new deal until June 2026.

A regular attacking threat down the right, Robinson is comfortable as a full-back, wing-back, or winger and has made ten appearances for the U21s this term, helping Steve Potts’ side reach the last 16 of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy and a Premier League International Cup semi-final.

Robinson has also previously represented England at U15s level, but cites his proudest achievement as his Young Lions debut at U17 level against Belgium in late 2020.

Upon capturing his signature, Head Coach Steve Morison said, “we are delighted to get Junior over the line as we look to add further quality on the flanks.”

“He is a talented boy who impressed against us for West Ham back in December, and we are looking forward to him seeing him perform at that calibre now for us”.

Robinson will wear the number 44 during his loan spell at the VBS Community Stadium.

Welcome to Sutton United, Junior!
