Sutton United Football Club can confirm that Charlie Waller has returned to parent club MK Dons following the conclusion of his loan spell.
The 19-year old arrived at the VBS Community Stadium at the start of August, the fourth loan spell of his short career so far, and has been an ever-present under Steve Morison, featuring 25 times in all competitions.
Charlie has gone from strength to strength at National League level, the highest level he has regularly played at so far, and has showed his superb versatility by filling in at left back, left-wing back and centre back.
He scored his first goal for the club on his debut against Wealdstone back in August with a wonderfully hit first time half volley that looped beyond goalkeeper Archie Matthews, and was later voted August Goal of the Month by the Amber Army.
Since then, Charlie has continued to show why he is so highly rated by his parent club, following up his Goal of the Month success with two Man of the Match displays against York City and Boston United as well as two Player of the Month nominations.
We’d like to thank Charlie for his contribution during his time at the VBS Community Stadium and wish him all the best for the future.
