We can confirm that Omar Sowunmi has returned to former club Bromley for an undisclosed fee, bringing an end to his season-long stint at the VBS Community Stadium.
Sowunmi had previously turned out for the Ravens between 2021 and 2023, impressing at Hayes Lane which subsequently earned his move into League Two from the then National League club.
The defender made 43 league and cup appearances for the U’s, scoring four goals (above, celebrating after scoring at home to Accrington) and establishing himself as a mainstay in the club’s backline under both Matt Gray and
later Steve Morison, prior to the club’s relegation at the end of the season.
