Manager Paul Doswell has moved quickly to fill the hole left by Dan Wishart’s departure to Forest Green, signing 20-year-old left back George McLennan, who will have the squad number 18 and goes in to the squad for tomorrow’s game against Woking. George, who is a Scottish Under 19 international, was a regular in Cheltenham’s National League winning squad last season. Paul said: ”George comes to us highly recommended – we’ve had our eye on him for some time and hope he will have a successful time with us and make similar progress to Dan”. We welcome George to the club. Also available tomorrow after missing the Dover game are Max Biamou, Nicky Bailey and Dean Beckwith, although Ryan Burge and Simon Downer remain injured, and Louis John has joined Hampton & Richmond on a month’s loan. It’s almost a local derby tomorrow against a side with whom U’s have had many meetings in tha past, and Woking will be looking to improve on an away record that is worse than any side except York and bottom of the table Guiseley, with their seven away games producing five defeats and two draws at Solihull and Guiseley. Sutton, meanwhile, have won five of their seven home games, keeping clean sheets in all five, and with little luck or success in away games at the moment will hope to build on that good home record. Before the game Sutton’s community teams will be playing two games against the QPR Community Trust, while you can also keep an eye on the 12.15 National League game between Tranmere and Wrexham. Then after the game at 5pm stay at the club to watch Gareth Southgate’s first game as England manager, the World Cup qualifier against Malta (kick off 5pm). Match sponsors tomorrow are Green Go Waste, our first team home shirt sponsors, while Ron Denyer and Tony Dolbear are the ball sponsors.
