After coming out on top in the group stages in the morning the team missed out by one point on qualifying for the final in the afternoon, coming third in the Under 16s top tier category, but the players all had a memorable day, meeting former Chelsea and England defender John Terry and a number of the Chelsea Under 21 squad.

James O’Carroll, who the following day coached our disability team to success in the FA South East Regional Disability Cup Finals, reported that ”it was a great day with some brilliant football played and sportsmanship shown”, while Ellie Radford, the Senior Learning Leader at the Carew Academy, said: ”This was an amazing day with an opportunity to visit world class facilities at Chelsea’s Training Ground. The students were ecstatic about meeting John Terry and players from the Under 21 team.”

Our congratulations and thanks to all involved for representing the club so well.
