Congratulations to our women’s reserve team, who produced a superb second half comeback this afternoon to beat Crawley AFC Reserves 3-1 and reach the final of the Surrey Divisional Cup.
U’s trailed 1-0 at half time to a team a place and six points higher in the South East Counties League Surrey Premier Division table, and who had beaten Sutton 2-0 in the league just before Christmas, but the second half saw goals from Charlotte Back and Amy Wright, plus an own goal, turn the game round and clinch a fine victory.
The final will be at Dorking on Wednesday 29 May against Leatherhead, who beat current league Surrey Premier Division leaders Epsom & Ewell 1-0 in the other semi final.
