Well, the IRN-BRU Cup adventure may be over, but if you were one of the 300 Sutton supporters who invaded Dublin this weekend, it was another unbelievable occasion in which you all played a very important part.   When our players appeared onto the pitch, how proud was I to witness what they saw and heard; it sounded like the whole of Sutton had moved to Dublin.I arrived at about 1pm and witnessed the Bohs’ bar steadily fill up with Sutton fans until you couldn’t get any more in! Fellow Directors, Management Committee members, representatives from our Ladies team and from our Community teams, club sponsors and our magnificent supporters-well, they were never going to miss the  opportunity to see their team play in a cup match in Dublin, and they were not disappointed with the performance of this excellent and talented squad of players who are still undefeated in the competition without conceding a goal in the two matches played. We dispatched one of our sponsors to look after the players yesterday evening and, although I have yet to receive confirmation, I am certain that he made sure they all got an early night! What an occasion to have been part of ! How lucky we are to have been given so many memorable days in the last few years, they should never be taken for granted. So well done to Dos, Bairdy & all the management team, as well as the players for representing our club and the National League so well.Sutton United has certainly left its mark in Dublin, in most of the pubs for a start! We have made many new friends and I have lost count of the number of people who said to me that they will be looking out for our results in future. We received excellent hospitality from our hosts at Bohemian FC and what an experience playing at the famous Dalymount Park, steeped in history.SUFC TV excelled themselves again with another first, the live international video streaming of a Sutton match; therefore enabling over 100 additional supporters to watch the match in the Sutton clubhouse. As a club we have embraced wholeheartedly our invitation to be one of the first two English clubs to  participate in the Scottish Challenge Cup. Everyone wearing our colours represented our club magnificently. As somebody has already said, our entry into this competition was "Absolutely Mad and Wonderful at the same time".    David Mathers International Travel Inc, excelled itself again with organising all the travel and accommodation arrangements for the trip – so a big thank you to David.Nobody who was there yesterday will ever forget the noise that our supporters made when the teams appeared on to the pitch, truly a moment never to be forgotten so, again, thanks to each and every one of you for making it an occasion to remember for us all – for many, an expensive trip – I hope you all felt it was worth it and I am sure you did.I am also sure that everyone who made the trip yesterday thoroughly enjoyed the experience of a visit to Bohemian FC in the wonderful city of Dublin.’We were there’Thanks to you all,Bruce Elliott, Chairman, Sutton United Football Club.
