After the news earlier this week that Harry Beautyman had signed a new deal to stay with Sutton United, we can announce that six more of last season’s squad, Jon Barden, Callum Kealy, Jude Mason, Bradley Pearce, Will Randall and Ben Wyatt, have put pen to paper for the coming season.

Jude Mason

Jon, who joined us in March 2019, moved to right back and made the position his own following the retirement of Dale Bennett in October, Ben impressed at left back after breaking in to the team in November and winger Will was coming back to top form after injury when the season was halted in March. Callum joined us in January from Worthing, while Bradley and Jude spent much of the season out on loan but are seen as important members of the squad by manager Matt Gray, who hopes to add further to the squad once there is more clarity about the start of a new season and when players can return to training.

Club chairman Bruce Elliott said: ”This is great news for the club and means that the majority of the squad that was playing so well when the season ended will be with us when next season starts. We don’t know when that will be yet, but Matt and the players can’t wait to get going and we are all looking forward to watching football at Gander Green Lane again as soon as we can.”

The following players are now signed for next season.David Ajiboye, Jon Barden, Harry Beautyman, Omar Bugiel, Kenny Davis, Craig Dundas, Craig Eastmond, Ben Goodliffe, Louis John, Callum Kealy, Jude Mason, Rob Milsom, Bradley Pearce, Will Randall, Coby Rowe, Ben Wyatt.
