It has been a busy 48 hours for manager Paul Doswell and Club Secretary Ray Ward with agreements and paperwork involving a number of players.

The headline news is the arrival of experienced striker Brett Williams (above), on loan from National League South outfit Torquay United.  Brett scored against U’s for Torquay at Plainmoor in each of the past two seasons, and will come up against two of his former clubs next week, having spent the first half of last season at Bromley and previously scoring over 40 goals in two seasons at Aldershot. He spoke to SUFCtv after training today – see the interview here.

Further strengthening the front line is the return of Jonah Ayunga from his own successful loan spell with Havant & Waterlooville.

We have also rewarded two more of the promising academy players with their first contracts; Jude Mason and Crossley Lema, who has been playing for Leatherhead in the Bostik League whilst still training with us during the week.

Tom Bolarinwa

In another piece of good news Paul also revealed that flying winger Tom Bolarinwa (above) will come back into contention this weekend after being sidelined for a month, and Bradley Pearce looks to have recovered from his gashed leg to feature in the squad at Halifax

Hear Paul’s thoughts in full during his interview with SUFCtv today here.
