Following on from our literacy project, the idea of the day was to involve the students in maths and how it can relate to football. After measuring the lines and boxes on the pitch (below), the children then did a money-focussed exercise based around selling tickets and extending that to include other merchandise. All the children thoroughly enjoyed their day and were also delighted to meet members of our academy squad who also helped with the day, and to have a tour of the ground and dressing rooms.
The day was organised and managed by Graham Macaulay from the Leo Academy Trust, and hosted on behalf of the club by Harry Dunne, and we’re very grateful to them, and to our twelve academy squad members, for making the day such a success.
