By car: Leave the M6 at junction 19 , joining the A556 and following Airport signs to M56. Do NOT take the M56 but carry straight on at roundabout on the A56. At the first traffic lights in a mile turn right for Bowdon/Hale (B5161). Carry on for a mile, passing The Quality Hotel on the right. Go through the traffic lights, then right at the mini roundabout into Hale Road (avoiding town centre). Carry on for approximately one mile, turning left into Westminster Road (opposite cemetery entrance). Carry straight on for approximately 3/4 mile into Moss Lane, the football ground is on the right. There is no on site parking but plenty of street parking around the ground.
By rail: Leave Euston at 53 minutes past the hour and change at Stockport for Altrincham. Total journey time is 2 hours 43 minutes. From the town centre side of Altrincham station turn left in to Stamford New Road and then first left in to Moss Lane. Go straight across the traffic lights outside Tesco, and the ground is just under ten minutes along on the left. Return at 57 minutes past the hour.
Officials
Simon Mather has been an EFL referee since 2021 and on Monday took charge of the televised game between Northampton and Peterborough. He last refereed a Sutton match in March 2023 at Mansfield, but was in charge of the game against Hartlepool in May 2021 when we won promotion to the EFL – he was then also the referee for that season’s play-off final when Hartlepool were promoted.
