Sutton rounded off their home Vanarama National League programme in style with a fine performance against Chester featuring some spectacular goals. Adam Coombes and Adam May both scored with superb shots from outside the penalty area inside the first ten minutes, and Jamie Collins curled in a free kick four minutes before half time. Coombes scored his second in the first minute of the second half, heading in a Collins cross, and Nicky Bailey’s thumping 25 yard volley made it 5-0 with twenty minutes left. James Alabi scored twice in three minutes near the end for Chester, who despite the defeat are safe from relegation barring freak results on the last day of the season.
