The sides met in League Two two seasons ago, with Sutton memorably winning 4-3 at the VBS but losing 2-0 in the return at Vale Park, with Port Vale going on to win promotion through the play-offs at the end of the season. They are currently 6th in League One, unbeaten since letting in seven at Barnsley on the first day of the season, and have reached this stage of the competition by beating Fleetwood 3-2 in the first round and then Crewe on penalties last night after a goalless draw.

This is only the fifth time Port Vale, who have competed in the League Cup in every year since its inception in 1960, have reached the third round and only in the 2006-07 season did they progress to round four.

Ticket prices will be £15 for adults and £7 for concessions, and further ticket details will follow when known.
