The draw will again be split or a north/south basis, and following last night’s penalty shootout success over Cambridge United U’s will be alongside the fifteen other winners of this week’s Southern ties, as well as the winners of next Wednesday’s game between Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City. The south section will be completed by seven Premier League clubs not involved in European competition. They are AFC Bournemouth, Brentford, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Luton Town and Tottenham Hotspur.

The second round draw is live on Sky TV following this evening’s televised game between Burton Albion and Leicester City, so probably some time between 10pm and 10.30pm, and will also be streamed on the Carabao Cup account on Twitter.

The second round is scheduled for the week beginning 28 August.
