Our women’s team picked up another point on Sunday, coming from a goal down at half time. Enfield went in front just before the interval, but early in the second half Hannah Thomas scored her first goal for us (above) to bring the scores level and despite a performance which resulted in the Enfield goalkeeper being named as player of the match by her side, and Sutton hitting the woodwork near the end, the winner proved elusive and the points were shared, keeping us seven points clear of the relegation zone in the London & South East Regional League Premier Division.

Team: M Humphries, M South, S Modak, H Talbut-Smith, A Measures, L Malcolm, H Thomas, C Savage, A Cutler, J Buckmire, J Backhurst. Subs T-A Bussey, C Pryke, E Spear, M Creaser, Z McNulty.

Next week we have a tough game away to Dulwich Hamlet, currently second in the table, kick off 2pm at Dulwich Hamlet FC.

The reserves enjoyed a good 4-0 win at Milford & Witley, with two goals from Amy Wright and one apiece from Paige Kersey and Charlotte Back. The result moved us up to fourth place in the Surrey Premier Division of the South East Counties League, with league leaders Epsom & Ewell providing the opposition next week at Banstead Athletic’s ground, kick off 2pm.

There was defeat for our development side who went down 2-1 at home to Guildford City to remain four points behind Surrey Division One leaders Crawley AFC Development. Maisie Clark was our scorer. There is an immediate chance to make amends when the sides meet again next Sunday in the return fixture at Horsley FC (2pm).
