Sutton United are pleased to announce a new partnership with Ideal Medical Solutions Ltd, a medical device distributor based in Epsom.

The arrangement will see the new away supporters’ accommodation at the VBS Community Stadium named the EchoLaser Stand, underlining the aim of the partnership to raise awareness of a ground-breaking procedure designed to treat a very common men’s health issue, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). BPH affects around half of men over 50 and can significantly impact on their quality of life due to the various symptoms associated with this condition.

Sutton United’s Commercial Operations Manager, Jason Reynolds, said: “We are incredibly proud to be working with Andrew and the team at Ideal Medical Solutions to raise awareness of technology that could potentially help so many of our supporters and their families”.

CEO of IMS Group of Companies, Andrew Wakeling (above, with Sutton United CEO Adrian Barry), commented: ‘As a local business owner, and a Sutton United supporter I feel very passionate about raising awareness of this topic in the local community. The Echo Laser treatment has been widely used across Europe, has a proven safety profile and provides outstanding treatment results for patients. We are actively working with the top Urologists in the UK to make this treatment widely available to everyone who could benefit from it.’

The EchoLaser treatment is already available in a select number of UK hospitals, and this service is expected to grow over the coming months and years as men increase their understanding of the treatment and the many benefits it offers over other treatment options. Due to its micro invasive approach and minimal recovery time, the EchoLaser is already one of the main treatment options for BPH in Europe and the UK is expected to replicate this trend.
