Tickets for Sutton United’s first home fixture of the 2024/25 Vanarama National League campaign will go on sale at 1pm on Friday, 26th July.
The U’s welcome Altrincham to the VBS Community Stadium on Saturday, 17th August, kick off 3pm. The Robins finished fourth in last season’s National League before losing at Bromley in the play-offs. It will be the first fifth tier match to take place at the VBS since May 2021, the memorable title-winning match against Hartlepool that saw Sutton earn the right to spend the following three years in the Football League, with goals from Rob Milsom, Louis John and Isaac Olaofe clinching promotion to League Two for the first time in the club’s history.
Altrincham’s last visit to Sutton was in that same season, when Connor Hampson’s spectacular stoppage time strike earned the visitors a 2-2 draw after David Ajiboye (above, celebrating his goal) and Isaac Olaofe had given U’s a 2-1 lead following Toby Mullarkey’s early opener. It was the first time in seven meetings at Sutton that the points had been shared, with Sutton winning four and Altrincham two of the previous encounters.
With the Altrincham game just under four weeks away, a reminder that the cheapest way to watch Sutton throughout the coming season is to buy a season ticket, with an adult ticket priced at just £419 for a seat and £329 for ground admission. Concessions (age 61+) are £349 and £259 respectively, young adults (age 19-23) £279 and £189 and juniors (age 14-18) £169 and £79. Under 14 ground season tickets are free and for a seat it’s £90, in both cases these must be bought in conjunction with an adult or concession season ticket.
