Steve Morison has confirmed that Jack Taylor will likely miss the rest of the season with a pulled groin, after going off towards the end of the first half against Boston United.
“That’s probably his season done” said Morison, “We’re at the backend of the season now so anything over a couple of weeks; you’re not going to get them back, but he’s pulled his groin and it’s gutting because he’s been amazing.”
New signing Kain Adom will also be absent for the trip to Braintree Town, having featured twice in the National League Cup already this season for Gateshead, in which he scored once against Newcastle United. He is cup-tied as a result, and will have to wait until Saturday to make his second appearance for the U’s, having played 52 minutes on the weekend against Boston.
