Steve Morison will be boosted by the news that Besart Topallaj and Tyler French are both available for selection, having each served respective bans over the last few weeks.

Topallaj had seen red at the end of February for an off-the-ball incident against Braintree Town and remained on the sidelines for four games, while the captain picked up his tenth yellow card against Solihull Moors and subsequently missed the trips to Maidenhead United and Forest Green Rovers.

“It’s great as it’s more players to pick from” said Morison, “obviously with the relentless schedule that we’ve had and doesn’t end for another couple of weeks – the Saturday, Tuesday – we need to use every body, we need to keep the team as fresh as we can and it’s great to have them back”

Alex Woodyard has also recovered from illness and returned to training this week, with Morison providing updates on him, as well as a couple players who remain unavailable.

Dillon De Silva is set to miss the next four to six weeks with a hamstring strain, having gone off just four minutes after coming on on Tuesday at Forest Green, and is joined in the treatment room by Alex Kirk, who has been absent since the National League Cup Quarter-Final win over Manchester United with an injury that is worse than initially thought.

“Woody is back, he’s been on antibiotics for a week, he’s not been well so he’s back training for now, which is great” added the Head Coach. “Dillon will be out for four to six weeks with his hamstring and unfortunately Alex Kirk has had a setback and will be out for the rest of the season. A couple bits of disappointing news but we have to just roll with it and deal with it”
