There are no new injury updates to report ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Kidderminster Harriers, with Steve Morison having an almost full squad to choose from for the FA Trophy Fifth Round.
Prior to the trip to Aggborough, Morison commented on the chance to have a full week of training, saying “it’s been a good week because we’ve had the opportunity to train properly rather than just recover.”
“Everyone was out on the grass, enjoying training, working hard, so yeah it’s been good and obviously at the backend of the week now and we’re focused on the FA Trophy game against Kidderminster which will be really tough game and one the lads are thoroughly looking forward to.”
Siju Odelusi and Alex Kirk both stepped up their recoveries after making substitute appearances last weekend against Eastleigh, and are back fully with the rest of the squad.
Commenting on their impacts following Saturday’s win, Morison said “Siju looks like a different animal. He’s done some excellent work with Sean [Miles] off the pitch and he looks great. Had a little bit of extra fitness work than he had planned because that’s the one thing he’s been able to do is run.”
As for Kirk, Morison commented on how excellent he had been prior to his LCL ligament injury, adding “we know what his quality does and he was on a fine run of form before he got injured. It was great to bring him on at the end of the game; his quality, composure, ability to be able to help the team is going to help us going forward.”
