Rob Tuvey has left his role as Professional Development Phase Lead Coach at Sutton United to pursue other opportunities in football.
The 32-year-old joined the Amber in August 2024 and made an instant impact at the club, helping our Under-18s side start their EFL Youth Alliance campaign with an unbeaten run of six matches.
“I’ve loved my time here, the boys and the staff have been fantastic,” Tuvey told Sutton United FCtv.
“It’s a really good environment here, one that players and staff can thrive in, and I just want to thank the club massively for giving me the opportunity.”
Academy Manager Jimmy Dack expressed his gratitude for the impact Tuvey has made during his time at the club.
“I just want to say a massive thank you to Rob, who has just been a different class and a pleasure to work with. I’ve seen a difference in all of the players and they will continue to improve in the long term because of him.
“Rob is always welcome back at this football club because what he’s done for us in a short space of time is nothing short of brilliant.”
Glen Nichols, Academy Head of Coaching, praised Tuvey for the way in which he has helped to develop the academy players.
“We’ve always had good coaching in and around the Under-18s, but I think Rob has taken us to another level,” said Nichols.
“We started the season by picking up some good results and more recently he’s been doing a lot of work around the final third and we’ll be looking to continue that going forward.”
Nichols will work with Gavin Rose to oversee the Professional Development Phase for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
