Sutton battled back from two goals down to level at 2-2 at Prenton Park tonight, but were beaten by an injury time strike from Michael Ihiekwe, who had given Tranmere a first half lead. A Craig Eastmond own goal following a free kick just after the hour mark seemed to have given Tranmere a grip on the game, but two goals in three minutes from Jack Jebb and Pape Gueye, both scoring their first goals in Sutton colours, tied things up with ten minutes to go. Ihiekwe struck when U’s failed to clear a throw-in, though, to move Tranmere back level on points with Lincoln at the top. Report, with photos, here and Paul Doswell’s verdict  here.
