Sutton secured a top half finish in the Vanarama National League with a goalless draw today at Macclesfield. Sutton had the better chances, with Kieron Cadogan and Adam Coombes having shots saved early on, and both Craig Eastmond and substitute Jack Jebb shooting wide from good positions, while Jebb also grazed the crossbar with a late dipping volley. Macclesfield’s best effort came in the second half from James Thorne, who clipped the top of the crossbar with a curling effort. Craig Dundas made his 450th appearance for the club, starting up front in place of the injured Max Biamou, while Pape Gueye came on as a substitute after recovering from injury.
