Horley are currently in mid-table in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South, and reached this stage with a 2-1 win away to Guildford City while a youthful Sutton side won by the same score away to Epsom & Ewell.

The clubs previously met in the competition in November 2019 during Matt Gray’s first season in charge when goals from Wayne Brown, Aaron Jarvis and Tommy Wright gave Sutton a 3-0 win.
