Sutton sat on top of the Vanarama National League on Saturday  evening after substitute Kieron Cadogan scored an injury time winner at Chester. Cadogan’s neatly taken goal, brilliantly set up by the other substitutes Josh Taylor and Moses Emmanuel, came after the home side had come from 2-0 down. Louis John’s 20-yard rocket and a fine goal from Tommy Wright gave U’s a deserved 2-0 lead just before half time, but in first half stoppage time Craig Mahon matched John’s effort to give the home side encouragement, and after Nicky Bailey had seen a goal direct from a free kick controversially ruled out for offside despite no Sutton player being close to touching it Chester levelled through Lucas Dawson’s low shot.
