Manager Matt Gray has today added to his squad with the signing of 31-year-old winger Kyel Reid, who may be a familiar face to tomorrow’s opponents Chesterfield, for whom he made 25 appearances in the National League last season, including coming on as a second half substitute in the meeting at Sutton in October.

A product of the academy at West Ham, where he made three senior appearances and represented England at Under 17, Under 18 and Under 19 level, he went on to make around 300 Football League appearances, over 100 of those for Bradford City, where he was part of the squad that reached the 2013 League Cup final. He also includes Charlton, Preston and Coventry among his former clubs.

Matt said: ”Kyel will be a valuable addition to the squad. He brings more competition for places in attack, and as well as having a wealth of experience in the Football League he knows about this level as well having played for Chesterfield last season.”

We welcome Kyel to the club – his squad number will be 28.
